7 days left! More Stretch Goals, products and art!
over 7 years ago – Tue, Aug 23, 2016 at 12:08:31 AM

Hello Everyone!  I was going to post this update tomorrow in the morning, but I'm too excited about it and I thought, ah what the heck!  We had a great day today, a good bunch of new folks (welcome to you all) and with the last week upon us, this is my lat hurrah for Pariah.

I got some fun new stuff for ya:

BOOM!  That's right.  ANOTHER book? Am I crazy?  Yes!  This will be the "show bible"  It will have EVERYTHING.  I'll throw the kitchen sink at this book, from my first sketch on a napkin to my first 1-page pitch to Image Comics, I'm putting it in this book.  Some of it will be awesome, embarrassing, but it will all be here.  Heck who knows, maybe we go really big and we make a hardcopy version, until then, it will be a PDF, and only$8 to add to your pledge.

More Stretch goals!

Yes we are bringing back the Coloring book!  Some may remember that the Coloring book was a stretch goal for my first Pariah Kickstarter, we never got it, but darn it, we might get it this time!  It will be FULL pages of Jose's pencils or inks and you get to color it how you want!  Digitally, or print it out on paper, this will be really cool actually.  I'm thinking, should I make this 11x17 so it's actual comic size?  Would be cool!!

More Add-Ons

Ok, you will notice the Making of Book, but what is SpaceBear?  Spacebear is my children's book I made a year ago, super cute and fun, here's more on that puppy:

And if you don't know the game Werewolf, you need to rectify that ASAP!

And now if all that wasn't enough... BOOM! (again)

Commissions!! What?!!!  That's right.  Say you want some OG art, but not of the weird west kind, I won't be offended.  We will do Wolverine, Captain Krunch, Mr. Darcy, whoever!  I'm really excited about this.

Ok.  I'm exhausted.  It's almost midnight, had a big day (including taking my 14 yr old daughter to the mall) and I'm beat.

Have a great day, we have 7 days left!  Let's hit it hard, post and email and tweet til you drop!

To all you Pioneers!
over 7 years ago – Sat, Aug 20, 2016 at 10:46:37 PM

Good morning to all you Pioneers!  I know I sent out an update yesterday, but I thought that I have many backers at the Pioneer level ($1) who are very interested in TIME Stories, so I thought that I would throw down some more info about it. First and foremost, THANK YOU!  Every buck helps and I appreciate it.

The following is a list of info and responses to questions I get about it:

  • Pariah Missouri TIME Stories will only be Print and Play.  There is just no level of stretch goal that we could make to even think about making it physically and shipping them out.  It just costs too much.  If we tried to do that, it would have a cost of $30-40 pledge level, that unfortunately it what it would cost me to make them, with no profit, so that ain't happening.
  • the reward will come in September most likely.  Maybe October, but I doubt it.
  • The reward will be a PDF file that you download from a link I will send out to all backers at every level, so if you pick a different level, you still get the game.
  • You can print the file on US standard 8.5x11 paper.  You can print it on double sided, or glue two sheets together, there is a great thread on Boarddgamegeek that shows how people have done it.  I used Linen cardstock paper, and man they look awesome!  2 sheets of cardstock glued together though is a little too thick.
  • It is around 65 pages, and will take an hour or more to cut out.  I went to FedEx and used their large paper cutter to make it quicker.
  • This same card set will be going to Space Cowboys in Oct for review, so you might even have a game that people will be buying at stores next year. (crosses fingers)
  • You don't HAVE to read the books to play the game, but... knowing at least the first book will make it more enjoyable, which leads me to this...

I added a new reward level!  The Bounty Hunter Level.

For $7 you can now get Book 1 of Pariah digitally.  Only six dollars more and you get 116 pages of comic, the first complete story, much better price than the $10 that I sell it at Amazon Kindle or Comixology.

Ok, that's it for now, I have 10 days to work hard and do this crowdfunding thing.  Thank you all again.  I appreciate it.  Please help me spread the word.

I will leave you with some more images of the game that I printed out when I was playtesting.

More Original art and new stretch goals!
over 7 years ago – Fri, Aug 19, 2016 at 05:08:36 PM

 Hello Backers!  Happy Friday!!

We have some exciting news.  I'm on some podcasts that will be coming out next week, I'll give you the link when they are live.  One of the backers recommended that we changed one of the stretch goals to something more attainable.  So here are the new stretch goals, which we are now removing the selfie western picture for the pdf script of book 1 with 100 re-tweets of any of my twitter posts about Pariah Missouri!  So far we are at 13 in one day, so it's totally do-able.  Simply log in to twitter, find me at @andysalazar and re-tweet a post.  I post about 3 times a day an image of the book or link.

The next exciting bit of news is that I added more original art.  If you want it, simply manage your pledge and message me which one you want!

Have a great weekend!  We are doing great!
