Omnibus is done!

Dat's right, ya her' it first here!  I literally just finished the Omnibus, made the digital file, emailed you backers with the file!!

Holy cow, it's done folks.  

I spoke to the Printers for the Omnibus this afternoon, hope to get this on their plate by next week and a month or so and they will be in my hands!  BUT, I also have 14 boxes of books around me.  I have sketched about 30 books and still have a bunch to do, but I think we will start shipping these guys out soon, no need to wait any more, it's BEEN TOO LONG!  Get Her' DONE!  okay, yeah I'm a little punchy, sorry.  (maybe it's the Dead Kennedys that I'm listening to)

So that's what's going on.  Sketching and sending out books soon.  Omnibus is done, all the creative parts of this projects is over.  (which is kind athet fun part, right? hehe)

I love you guys, seriously, I can't tell you how much this meant to me to get this done. It's taken like 5 years total, 4 kickstarters, many, many hours but I got to do something that I wanted to do as a kid and I think it looks pretty cool.  I could NOT have done it without you.  Okay, now I'm getting emotional.  *breathes* ice cold.  okay.

Everybody!

It's 2018 and I am ready to rock and roll!  I have my personal goals and career and family goals ready and I'm ready to do this!.  

2017 was good, this will be even better.  Positive attitude.  Mind over matter.

So here's the update for me:

•  I got 11 boxes full of the deluxe hardcovers.  Next up is SKETCHIN'!  I have a lot of sketches to do in the books.  Tradepaperbacks should be here by the end of the week.
• Ordered shipping supplies.  Should be here by Thursday.
• Omnibus editing.  I WILL BE DONE.  by the end of the week.  Then off to the printers.  
• Omnibus digital - should be sent out to you backers next week.  *fingers crossed*

Now that most of the creative part of Pariah, Missouri is in the can, this last weekend, I decided to dust off my unfinished children's book, SteamBear and finish it.  It is done!  I started a simple Kickstarter for it.  It's for ages 3-6 and parents who are into comics, steampunk and the like.  What's nice is that it's done and I'm shipping this out in February.  So I'll be shipping both Pariah and SteamBear at the same time.  2018, watch out!  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/andresjsalazar/steambear

Hello Backers!

Merry Christmas!  I hope each of you have a great holiday with your family and friends.

Here's thet breakdown.  All books have been ordered, except the Omnibus

They should be here by Jan 15th, then I start shipping!

  I am sending out DIGITAL copies of Book 3, today!  so be on the look out for that.  Digital Omnibus are NOT ready.  I'd like to do one more round of editing prior to finalizing the Omnibus.

I'm calling out again for Editors.  If you already edited book 3, great, you have 1/3 already done.  Anyone who wants to go for it, please message me.  I'll give you a digital copy of the Omnibus for you tot go through, look for spelling, grammar, story-wise, logic, all that kind of stuff.  Artwork can't be fixed too much, so we are just looking for little things.  Please let me know.  I want to have this completely done by the beginning of the year and send it out to the printers.

December 2017 update!

 Hello Backers,

Hope you're all well.  I wanted to give ya'll an update.  Ventura, CA had some very serious fires this last week and my family evacuated.  I stayed behind, the house was very smikey, but we were a block away from mandatory evac, so I wanted to stay until they forced me out, in case I needed to stay my things with me.  Long story short, we were very lucky that the fire didn't get us, but it did for many others and it still rages on, so my heart goes out to all these people that have lost their homes, it's heartbreaking.  I've lived in Ventura for 14 years and I call this home, so I'm invested in this community.  I think we will get through it, but it's been a crazy week.

As for Pariah, here's the update:

Tradepaperback is DONE!

Deluxe Hardcover is DONE!

 Proof came back, and looked great. I'm excited to get this in your hands!

What's left to do?

OMNIBUS:  So this is the last big hurdle.  Mainly it's some color correction that I'm working on tonight and fixing the colors.  As you know I re-colored a good number of pages and now I'm trying to get them all on the same pantone.  Mid-way through books 1 and 2, I switched my blues, from a Cobalt blue to a Tourquoise blue, so I need to get them to work better.  I'm also re-wroking some of the dialog in the beginning of book 1 and adding more narration from our deceased Marshal Cody.  I fell a litle like Lucas in going back to book 1 and changing it, but if I"m going to collect it all in one book I want to read well all together in one sitting, so I need to change a few things.  Once that's done, I'll pump out the digital version.

Printing:  I'm ready to make my print orders for the trades and hardcovers.  The Omnibus is still a little in the air, I could use the same printer as the hardcovers, but it's expensive and I'm not too happy with the quality.  I'm looking at another American printer I like, but a 330 page book might be too big for them.  Finally I could go overseas, but that's looking cost prohibitive.  So that's a puzzle I'm trying to figure out.  Either way on the Omnibus, I'm going to order the other books this week.  

Digital versions:  The digital versions are slightly different than the printed files, so I need some spend 2-3 days converting those.  I will probably do that next so I can just get those in your hands asap.

Shipping.  This is the non-fun part.  I need to do my sketches is the books, buy the packing stuff and get them sent out.  It will be happening!

Hey backers!

NEXT MONDAY, NOV. 20. the BACKERKIT will be CLOSED and locked down.  That's your last chance to update your address, your rewards and any add-ons.  We still have 17% backers that have not filled it out. please do so, if not I can't promise you will get everything you should.  

Ok, I have some fun stuff for you this week.  Here is the mock-up for the Omnibus book.  I am going for a more graphic and book design.  I want this puppy not at just comic shops but all over.  What do you think?
